Attendees do not need a bike to participate in this free workshop, which can be conducted for corporations, libraries, civic groups, schools, scouting groups and community organizations.
All too often, cyclists are not aware of the laws that govern cyclists. Whether you’re a new cyclist or getting back on your bike after a few years, this workshop is a good way to learn how to safely ride for work or recreation. The “How to Safely Ride a Bike” workshop is taught by a bicycle safety instructor certified by the League of American Cyclists. Participants will learn the basic rules of the road, how to fix a flat, riding safely on main roads, planning for your ride and “quick checks” to do every time you get on your bike.
