Thank you for joining Let’s Ride Somerset and the Walk & Bike to School Challenge!

As part of National Bike Month in May, we celebrated biking with Let’s Ride Somerset, a virtual biking group for all ages and abilities, and the Walk & Bike to School Challenge, geared at getting students walking and biking safely. Now that Bike Month is over, the results from both events are in!

Our top Let’s Ride Somerset riders were Wayne Lumkong, Evan Lee, and Jim Spivey. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Let’s Ride Somerset this past month, including those from Tour de Franklin! Our group biked a total of 16,235 miles!

Meanwhile, in our Walk & Bike to School Challenge, over 28 students contributed more than 150 individual entries, traveling to and from 10 different schools throughout the county, and traveling more than 465 miles! The top 3 students will be receiving a Safety Prize Package, and all students will be receiving a certificate and hi-vis safety bracelet.

And our winners are…Ava & Grace of Amsterdam Elementary in Hillsborough, and Hunter of JFK Primary in Raritan! Thank you Ava, Grace and Hunter, and thank you to everyone who participated in our challenge.

Thank you to everyone who rode with us in May. The fun doesn’t stop here; Let’s Keep Riding!
