Community and public safety are the focus of National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Earlier this month, RideWise conducted a Bike Rodeo at South Bound Brook’s own National Night Out, sponsored by the South Bound Brook Police Department.
RideWise’s Jon Dugan and Keep Middlesex Moving’s Chris Gonda taught children bicycle safety through the Bike Rodeo, an obstacle course designed to educate on how to maneuver a bicycle and follow safety practices. Bike Rodeo participants also received free bike helmets from the South Bound Brook Police and free lights from RideWise.
