Through BusinessPass, NJ Transit offers employers a better way to meet the commuting needs of their employees by helping employees save money on their commute. The program is flexible, easy to administer and cost-effective. BusinessPass has helped make doing business much easier for many organizations throughout New Jersey.

BusinessPass enables employers to order monthly transit passes or one-way tickets in bulk for their employees or clients. BusinessPass has evolved to help employers and employees take advantage of the significant “commuter tax benefit” (up to $265 per month) allowed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Employees may use up to $3,120/year towards their mass transit commute without paying federal income tax on this salary.
