Complete & Green Streets for All Sustainable Jersey Action Unveiled

Sustainable Jersey recently released their newest action, Complete & Green Streets for All, and we’re extremely excited to see this action available. This action, which falls under the Land Use and Transportation category, replaces two previous complete streets actions: Adopt a Complete Streets Policy and Institute Complete Streets.

Based on the Complete and Green Streets for All Model Complete Streets Policy & Guide released by the New Jersey Department of Transportation in July 2019, the new Complete Streets action focuses on health, equity and fairness to prioritize and create safer streets.  To receive points for this action, municipalities must incorporate green storm-water infrastructure and update Complete Streets plans to match the new NJDOT policy. Communities that complete this action can earn anywhere between 10 and 30 Sustainable Jersey points.

You can find the full action guidelines on Sustainable Jersey’s website. If you need assistance in completing this action, or want to learn more about Complete Streets, please reach out to us at staff@ridewise.org.
