Somerset County has experienced massive transit and road closures as a result of widespread flooding from Hurricane Ida. Below are some of the latest closures. This is not a complete list of all road closures in the county. If you come across a flooded roadway or road barriers, DO NOT DRIVE through it. Turn around, don’t drown.
TRANSIT ALERTS:
- Somerset County Transportation: Although Somerset County Transportation has resumed services according to its normal schedule, some riders may experience delays due to flood damage and detours caused by Hurricane Ida. For more information, contact Somerset County Transportation at 908-231-7115.
- NJ TRANSIT: All Rail Lines and buses have resumed service. Raritan Valley Line rail service will bypass Bridgewater Station until further notice due to the station being inaccessible due to flooding from residual storm impacts. Customers on all modes should expect delays, detours and possible cancellations due to residual storm impacts.

- Somerset County has released a list of all County Road & Bridge Closures.
- Bridgewater Township Police have released an updated list of local road closures throughout the town. Additionally, a portion of Vosseller Avenue will be closed for about two weeks for repairs.
