Beginning at 10:00 p.m., Friday, September 8 until 6:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, Exit 22A, the I‑287 northbound ramp to Route 202/Route 206 southbound, will be closed as part of the I-287 /Route 202/Route 206 Interchange Improvements project. Motorists will be directed to use Exit 22B for the duration of the closure.
The following detour will be in place:
I-287 northbound ramp to Route 202/206 southbound Detour:
- Motorists will be directed to take Exit 22B to Route 202/Route 206 northbound
- Motorists will need to stay right on Route 202/Route 206 northbound, and take the U-turn exit at River Road onto Route 202/Route 206 southbound
On Monday morning, motorists will be allowed to use the new realigned ramp from I‑287 northbound to Route 202/Route 206 southbound, once final preparations to open the new ramp are complete.
Variable message signs are being utilized throughout the project limits to provide advance notification to motorists of all traffic pattern changes associated with the interchange improvement project. Throughout the project, NJDOT will provide information before any upcoming road or ramp closures.
