May is National Bike Month, and RideWise is celebrating with two initiatives throughout May to get you on your bike and cycling: Let’s Ride Somerset and the Walk & Bike to School Challenge!
Let’s Ride Somerset is a virtual biking group that encourages solo/family biking in Somerset County to stay active, healthy and connected. From May 1 – May 31, ride anywhere, anytime for at least 10 minutes and record your ride in our group – you can even upload trips automatically through Strava and other apps. You can earn a spot on our leaderboards, interact virtually with other riders, share photos, and more. Let’s Ride Somerset also welcomes Tour de Franklin riders! Once Tour de Franklin participants register for Let’s Ride Somerset, they can upload rides from Tour Routes and enjoy virtual interaction, leaderboards, tracking and more. Click here to join!
The Walk & Bike to School Challenge is a fun opportunity for students to get outside, log your miles, and enter for a chance to win a Safety Prize package! In these times it’s difficult to be able to walk or bike in large groups, and may be even more challenging with virtual learning. But students can participate in this challenge – either by walking/biking to school or just around the block if learning virtually – as a way to celebrate Bike Month! Log each trip you make between May 1 – May 31 on our website for a chance to win! Click here to start logging!
Hope to see you riding with us! Let’s Ride!
