Regional Bus Services

Three private bus carriers provide regional service between Somerset County and New York City. Click the appropriate link for route and fare information.

Lakeland Bus Lines operates from the northern part of Somerset County (Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Lyons, Bedminster and Far Hills) to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC.
Suburban Transit provides service from Princeton through southeastern Somerset County to the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal via Route 27, and express service from Hillsborough to Grand Central Terminal and the United Nations.
On February 24, 2020, Suburban Transit introduced the “Track Coach USA” app, which allows passengers to track the bus and determine the arrival time of the next scheduled bus. To learn more, please click here.

Trans-Bridge provides service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal from the Branchburg park and ride. Trans-Bridge also offers reverse commute bus service to Bridgewater and MetLife on Route 22 in Bridgewater from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.
Trans-Bridge is resuming weekday and weekend service. Depending on ridership, Trans-Bridge may add additional service after Labor Day. The new schedules can be found here.

WESTBOUND FROM NEW YORK RUNS WILL LEAVE PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL AT 5:00 AND 6:00 P.M.,
WITH DROP-OFFS AT ALL STOPS LISTED IN SECOND RUN.
