The fare is based on the number of zones traveled. This is a full service line. The driver will make change. $1, $5, $10 and $20 dollar bills and most U.S. coins are accepted. Exact change is appreciated. Riders can use NJ TRANSIT's trip planner - www.njtransit.com/trip-planner-to or mobile app from the App Store or Google Play for trip planning and payment options. Customers departing from the Port Authority Bus Terminal or George Washington Bridge Bus Station in New York must have a ticket or pass to board the bus. Drivers will not accept cash for these trips.
Senior citizens (62 and older), customers with disabilities and military personnel can ride NJ TRANSIT trains at a reduced fare. Senior citizens may be asked to present a valid ID to get the reduced fare. Passengers with disabilities should present a valid NJ TRANSIT Reduced Fare ID or Medicare Card. Personal assistants ride for free when proper identification is presented by the person with a disability. Military personnel and their dependents may use the one-way reduced ticket with a valid military or military-dependent ID card. Eligible military personnel include Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard, and those with official ""Retired"" status from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard. Veterans with service-connected disabilities may present a valid Veterans Affairs (VA) identification card which indicates ""service connected"" to use the one-way reduced ticket option. When purchasing a ticket from a ticket vending machine or through MyTix (on the app), select Senior/Disabled to obtain the discounted fare. Children (ages 5-11) save 50 percent and up to three children (ages 4 and under) ride free with a passenger paying any valid fare.
All trips are operated with lift-equipped buses. Note: when traveling into or out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, please call (973) 275-5555 in advance for the location of an accessible boarding gate.
