RideWise team members will be on-hand to provide information on bicycle and pedestrian safety, ridesharing, transit, and travel training at the several community events in the next month:
Food Bank Pop-Ups:
RideWise will partner with the Somerset County Food Bank Network and the Somerset HELPS mobile outreach van to provide information on BikeConnect and transportation assistance at several mobile food distribution events and food banks throughout February.
On February 12 and February 21, from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm, RideWise will be tabling at the Somerset County Food Bank at 7E Easy Street, Middlebrook Crossroads Industrial Park, in Bound Brook. On February 13 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, RideWise, the Somerset HELPS mobile outreach van, and other community organizations will be at The Woods at Warren. The Somerset HELPS mobile outreach van brings information, resources, and services directly to neighborhoods needing support throughout Somerset County. Attendees to mobile outreach pop-ups must bring their ID to receive food.
Community in Crisis Pop-Ups:
RideWise will be at a pop-up event for Community in Crisis on February 15 in Franklin Township from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. The Community in Crisis pop-ups provide resources from community organizations throughout Somerset County. RideWise will lead a transportation workshop starting at 3:00 pm, covering the public transit available in Somerset County and how to use it. RideWise will also have a table with information on transportation resources for the duration of the event.
