It’s time to make a commitment to drive less during the month of June! Take the pledge. Register to track trips/miles. Then take the bus or train, ride a bicycle, walk, share a ride by carpooling or vanpooling, or telecommute as often as possible between June 1st and June 30th.
Any trip that replaces solo driving, whether for work or pleasure, counts. This can include running errands, visiting friends, going out to eat, etc. Participants can compete individually or as part of the Employer Challenge.
This year’s Weekly Challenge Winners will enjoy their choice of a $10 Dunkin Donuts or $10 Starbucks E-gift card. The E-codes will be emailed out to the winners at the end of the month. Weekly Challenge winners are eligible to win once per category. The following categories will have one winner per week:
- Most miles saved by ridesharing (2 or more adult passengers in a car)
· Most miles saved by biking
· Most miles saved by walking
· Most miles saved by transit
· Most miles saved by telecommuting
· Most drive alone miles saved (most miles saved overall for week)
This year, the overall Grand Challenge Champion will win a Fitbit Surge Watch. Mileage tracking is available from June 1st – June 30th. To compete for weekly prizes, be sure to log miles by 11:59 pm on June 7th, 14th, 21st and 30th. To earn the most points, be sure to log each one-way trip (up to six trips per day can be logged).
