RideWise Looking for BikeConnect Referrals

Since 2021, RideWise has provided 32 clients with refurbished bicycles, thanks to the generosity of 36 bicycle donors and Pops Bike Shop. BikeConnect continues to grow and help adults receive reliable transportation, giving them the means to travel to their jobs or look for employment. Clients such as Kevin Gray, Colleen Sweeney, and Knowledge Allah have all benefitted from BikeConnect, using their new bikes to help them travel to job interviews and ultimately, to their workplaces.

Thanks to our many donors, we currently have several bikes waiting for clients! To be eligible for a bike, clients must be:

  • Over the age of 18
  • Residents of Somerset County
  • Have a job or are looking for a job
  • Referred to us by a human services organization, nonprofit, or employer.
  • Must have limited transportation resources, and will use the bike for reliable transportation

If you currently receive services from a Somerset County nonprofit or human services organization and you’re in need of a bicycle, please have a representative from the nonprofit fill out our referral application. If you’re currently employed and need transportation to work, your employer can also complete the application. If you have any questions about BikeConnect or the referral process, contact us at staff@ridewise.org or 908-704-1011.
