Last month, RideWise and Raritan Valley Community College hosted a virtual forum, “Our Electric Future & Training the Next Generation: Emerging Trends in Vehicle Electrification.” RVCC students, vocational school and county college teachers and administrators, nonprofit and state employees, and automotive manufacturers attended the meeting to discuss how the automotive technology industry and school curriculum can keep up with training the next generation in electric vehicle technology.
Keynote Speaker Dr. Mark Quarto of Electrified Vehicle Systems Technologies spoke about the automotive industry trends towards electrification and the increased job opportunities for automotive tech students now that more companies are going electric. Sara Heller, Instructor/Coordinator for Automotive Technology at RVCC, also presented on RVCC’s Automotive Technology program. The session was moderated by Stanislav Jaracz, President of the New Jersey Electric Vehicle Association.
