RideWise’s 3rd Annual Safety Video Contest
Hey students! The Safety Video Contest is back and this time we are introducing a new and exciting addition. This year's Safety Video Contest is surrounding the theme of Summer Safety. Did you know the 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are referred to as the 100 deadliest days? According to studies from AAA there is an increase in fatal teen driver crashes during this period (NRSF 2026).
We want you to help us make this the 100 Safest Days of Summer for all road users: drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Create a 30-60 second video that includes this phrase-
I will be safe this summer by…
You must select 1 of the below category (either driving safety, cycling safety, car passenger safety, or walking safety) and at least 1 topic under that category. You DO NOT need to create a video on each topic of the category.
Your video can be a commercial, a PSA, a story, a music video…anything! Have fun and be creative!
Open to 5th to 12th grade students in Somerset County*, New Jersey. There will be 4 winners, one student per category, each winning a $100 Visa Gift Card.

100 Safest Days of Summer | The National Road Safety Foundation
Details:
Practicing safety on the road – whether in a car, on a bike, or on foot – is the #1 way to protect yourself.
To enter the contest, pick one of the topics from the four categories below and film a video that is 30-60 seconds long. (For example, you could film one video on crossing at crosswalks from the Walking Safety category; you do not need to create a video on each Walking Safety topic). You can enter your submission using this Google Form. You can also post on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and tag us!
We encourage you to help us spread awareness around this year's message, theme, and movement of #summersafely and invite your parents and peers to join you in developing your video. This is your opportunity to demonstrate how you plan to ride safely this summer. Feel free to share a how to or tips on how you and others can be safe this summer.

Contest Criteria:
- Create a 30-60 second long video that includes this phrase-I will be safe this summer by…You must select 1 of the below category (either driving safety, cycling safety, car passenger safety, or walking safety) and at least 1 topic under that category.
- Videos must be between 30-60 seconds long.
- Previous submissions from last year cannot be resubmitted. If you submitted last year, you must make a new video for this year.
- Enter your submission using this Google Form
- If also posting on TikTok or Instagram, RideWise must be tagged in the video or caption (TikTok: @ridewise. Instagram: @ridewisetma). The poster’s profile must also be public so RideWise can view the video.
- Video must cover one of the following categories (see Video Topics for more details):
- Driving safety
- Cycling safety
- Walking safety
- Car Passenger Safety
- No foul language or inappropriate content will be permitted. Entries with foul language or inappropriate content will be automatically disqualified.
