Are there parts of Somerset County that you feel could be safer for pedestrians and cyclists? Somerset County wants to hear from you! Somerset County, in coordination with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA), has launched the Somerset County Roadway Safety Study, which will help the county address pedestrian, bicycle, and intersection safety. Up to five County-owned roadways will undergo a comprehensive safety analysis to identify vehicle, public transit, pedestrian, and bicyclist safety issues and to identify possible safety improvements.
To contribute to the study, you can add your comments and suggestions and pinpoint safety issues in the county’s interactive map. By identifying these issues, you will be directly contributing to the planning process. To add to the map, please click here. There will also be a public meeting on November 12 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.
