Olivia Allegra is RideWise’s School Based Initiatives Specialist, working primarily to enact more active, environmentally friendly transportation methods for the students of Somerset County.

She creates and maintains partnerships with K-12 schools on projects and activities that encourage walking and biking to school. Olivia plans bike rodeos, walk-to-school days, bike buses, and educates students on bicycle and pedestrian safety. Some of her additional responsibilities include helping community members learn to ride bikes and walk safely.

As an avid walker and biker herself, Olivia is thrilled to be in this role, encouraging students to engage in activities she is passionate about and acting as the NJ Safe Routes to School Coordinator for RideWise.

Olivia is motivated by shaping the future of a world that we all want to live in, and believes movement is a great place to start. She pursued an Independent Study on the positive impacts of movement and community on mental health in her senior year of college at the University of Vermont and is excited to utilize these findings through her work in this role.

When Olivia is not working, she can be found dancing House, biking across different states, perfecting her knitting skills, and deep in conversation with her friends.
