Emergency Ride Home Program (Ticket Home)

An Emergency Ride Home is the safety net that removes the “what ifs” from sharing a ride or using transit.

One of the biggest concerns about commuting through ridesharing or public transit is being unable to find a way home in the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstance. Through RideWise’s Emergency Ride Home program, Ticket Home, commuters don’t have to worry about how they’ll get home.

Registered commuters may arrange for a ride through a ride hailing service, taxi, limousine or car rental provider of their choice, and RideWise will reimburse commuters for the costs. Whether due to unexpected overtime requests, a family or medical emergency, a carpool breakdown or a transit service interruption, commuters can have peace of mind and know they have a way to get home safely.

To be eligible for this program, participants must carpool, vanpool, take the bus/train or bicycle to work at least twice a week.  Participants may only use the program on days when one of these travel options is used.

Participants must be registered in order to arrange for a ride and get reimbursed.  Commuters are not registered until a confirmation by e-mail or regular mail is received. For additional information or questions, contact RideWise at (908) 704-1011 or e-mail staff@ridewise.org.
