Emergency Ride Home Program (Ticket Home)

One of the biggest concerns about ridesharing or using public transit is being unable to find a way home in the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstance. Through RideWise’s Emergency Ride Home program, Ticket Home, you don’t have to worry about how you’ll get home.

Registered travelers may arrange for a ride through a ride hailing service, taxi, limousine or car rental provider of their choice, and RideWise will reimburse you for the costs. This is a reimbursement service. RideWise does not provide rides and will not purchase bus or train fare/tickets. Ticket Home can be used in the event of:

  • Unexpected overtime requests
  • A class running late
  • A family or medical emergency
  • A carpool breakdown or a transit service interruption

To be eligible for this program, participants must carpool, vanpool, take the bus/train or bicycle to work or school at least twice a week. Raritan Valley Community College students are eligible to register! Participants may only use the program on days when one of these travel options is used.

Participants must be registered in order to arrange for a ride and get reimbursed. Commuters and students are not registered until a confirmation by e-mail or regular mail is received. For additional information or questions, contact RideWise at (908) 704-1011 or e-mail staff@ridewise.org.
